Land and learning with Articulate Storyline

May 24, 2024

I was asked by a client to create the visual design and interactivity for Articulate Storyline slides for a Northern Indigenous Entrepreneurship course. I turned to the concept of land-based learning to provide imagery, metaphors and concepts that evoke living within the natural environment. I was also inspired by a native colleague who urged the importance of paths and trails.

I'm a journalist, producer, instructional designer and developer. I've reported from a minefield and a dugout canoe, taught radio journalism, robotics, and anthropology in board rooms, lecture halls and mud huts, led award-winning media projects, and mentored dozens of journalists in Canada and Latin America. I run a small media production company specialized in education and the environment called Studio Canek.
